Are you trying to update via or the Dell website ? Is this a personal or company-managed device?
Certain enterprise features (like vPro) require a BIOS password to be set before firmware can be modified. bios update failed as password is not configured dell hot
The system doesn’t have an admin or system password set, so I’m confused why the BIOS update is looking for one. Has anyone else run into this? Are you trying to update via or the Dell website

Sometimes, "not configured" means you need to enter a blank password, or the system expects a default. your Dell computer.
