Upgrading from the legacy custom firmware (CFW) to the modern
If you want to customize your newly upgraded handheld, let me know:
The general steps to install Infinity 2.0 involve downloading the installer, placing the EBOOT.PBP file in the PSP/GAME/UPDATE/ folder, and running the application. It will guide you through the process of selecting and installing the 6.60 PRO-C CFW as the permanent option. Why Upgrade from 3
Unplug the USB cable. On the console menu, navigate to > Memory Stick and boot up PRO Update .
The 6.60 PRO-C CFW you just installed is a CFW. This means that every time you fully power off your PSP, the custom firmware will disappear, and your PSP will revert to its official 6.60 state. To get it back, you would need to run the FastRecovery application again.
